Accessing Metropolitan Takao-Jimba Natural Park

Wada Pass is at the entrance of the trail up to Mt. Jinba. To get to Wada Pass, take the JR Chuo Line from Shinjuku Station and get off at Takao Station. From the bus stop at the north exit of Takao Station, take the Nishi Tokyo Bus bound for Jinba-kogen-shita, and get off at the Jinba-kogen-shita bus stop, the final stop. From the Jinba-kogen-shita bus stop, it takes about 30 minutes to walk to Wada Pass. Wada Pass is the entrance to hiking trails such as the Bird Trail and the Fujimi Trail of Shutoken (The Metropolitan Area) Natural Trail.
You can also hike Mt. Jinba via Meio Pass, from the south near Lake Sagami. The entrance to the hiking trail is at Yose Shrine, which is close to JR Sagamiko Station. To get to Yose Shrine from Shinjuku, take the JR Chuo Line and get off at Sagami Station. Then walk for about ten minutes to Yose Shrine, which is the entrance (closest to Sagami Station) to the hiking trail for Meio Pass and Mt. Jinba.
