Accessing Meiji no Mori Takao Quasi-national Park
To get to Takaosanguchi Station on the Keio Line (the station closest to Meiji no Mori Takao), take the semi-special express train from Shinjuku Station on the Keio Line (about 47 minutes) or the special rapid limited express train from Shinjuku Station on the JR Chuo Line (about 44 minutes). Alternatively, take the rapid train from Shinjuku Station on the JR Chuo Line (about 57 minutes), switch to the Keio Line at Takao Station (about 3 minutes), and then get off at Takaosanguchi Station. From Takaosanguchi Station, walk about five minutes to nature research route 1 or 6, the entrance to the Inariyama course, or Takao Tozan Railway’s Kiyotaki Station (cable car station).
To reach Mt. Takao by car, take the Chuo Expressway and exit at the Hachioji Interchange. Take National Route 16 toward Sagamihara, and then turn right onto National Route 20 toward Otsuki/Kofu. Paid parking is available near Takaosanguchi Station on the Keio Line. Note that parking lots might be crowded on weekends and holidays.
