Support Park Rangers

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government utilizes a support park ranger system.

What Are Support Park Rangers?

Support Park Rangers are Tokyo residents who support the Tokyo Park Rangers in their efforts to protect the bountiful and precious nature of Tokyo by preventing illegal activity and improving visitor etiquette. Support Rangers are currently working in the Takao and Okutama areas.

Activities

The Support Rangers patrol their assigned areas and conduct the following activities:
・Increasing awareness of etiquette and manners regarding the use of natural parks
・Assisting with the guidance of visitors to the natural parks
・Assisting with simple repairs of the natural park facilities
Assisting with surveys conducted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government regarding the utilization of natural parks
