Habushiura Park

Located about 157 kilometers from Tokyo, Habushiura Park is an interactive natural park on the island of Niijima. Niijima is one of the central islands of the seven Izu Islands. Adjacent to park, Habushiura Beach is a 6.5-kilometer stretch of white sand and has been designated one of the "100 Views of New Tokyo." It is also considered a surfing mecca and even serves as the location of international surfing contests.
Habushiura Park has campgrounds, an outdoor arena (coliseum), a cycling road, and other facilities to help you enjoy Niijima's natural environment to the fullest.

Outdoor Arena (Coliseum)

This round theater covering a total of 18,000 m2 (4.4 acres) has a central stage with a diameter of 20 meters. The coliseum has a capacity of 8,000 people. When the coliseum is not being used for events, it is open to visitors as a grass field.

Grass Field

This is a wide open space with grass lawns and pine forests. Equipped with tables made of Koga rock (a type of rhyolite), this is the perfect place for having a picnic or taking a break from swimming in the ocean.

Cycling Road

This cycling road takes you from the northern side of the park, onto a municipal road, and all the way to Habushiura. Note that we do not provide or rent out bicycles.

Space for Viewing Cherry Blossoms

With more than 50 Oshima cherry trees, this is the perfect spot for viewing flowers. This wide space includes a wooden playground, so you can relax and have fun with your entire family.

Orchard

The park includes a small orchard of approximately 300 m2 (3,229.2 sq ft). Here we cultivate many types of fruits and trees, such as mandarin orange, pomegranate, Akebia, passionfruit, fig, and Japanese bayberry.

Recommended Spots

From the park, you can get a breathtaking view of the white sands of Habushiura Beach contrasting with the beautiful blue sea. The park includes a space for viewing cherry blossoms. Here, you can enjoy Oshima cherry trees in spring. At our orchard, you can view plants from the South Pacific.
