Accessing Kozushima Island

You can get to Kozushima Island by large ferry, high-speed jet ferry, roll-on/roll-off ferry, or airplane.
Ferries:
Tokai Kisen operates several ferry services each day from Tokyo’s Takeshiba Pier (eight minutes on foot from JR Hamamatsu-cho Station). The travel time by large ferry is approximately 12 hours. The large ferry service also stops along the way at Oshima Island, Toshima Island, Niijima Island, and Shikinejima Island. The travel time by high-speed jet ferry is approximately 4 hours.
There is one roll-on/roll-off ferry service from Shimoda Port in Shizuoka Prefecture each day. This service is operated by Shinshin Kisen, and the travel time is between 2 and 4 hours.
Flights:
New Central Airservice operates three commuter flights a day from Chofu Airport (15 minutes from Chofu Station by bus). The flight duration is approximately 45 minutes.
