Accessing Hachijojima Island

You can get to Hachijojima Island by large ferry or by airplane. Tokai Kisen operates one ferry daily, which departs from Tokyo’s Takeshiba Pier (eight minutes on foot from JR Hamamatsu-cho Station). It takes approximately 10 hours and 20 minutes to reach Hachijojima. Along the way, the ferry stops at Miyakejima Island and Mikurashima Island. All Nippon Airways operates three flights from Haneda Airport each day. The flight duration is about 55 minutes.
